Around the years 1238-1408, Thailand capital was located at Sukhothai. During that time, Sukothai often fought with its neighbour. Skill such as kicking, kneeing, punching and elbowing were developed. So, MuayThai was created. Muay Thai was a higher art and was a part of royal curriculum. According to some resource, this era is Sukothai era. From era to era, MuayThai is used as self-defense and teached in military. On King Narai Era (1604 - 1690), MuayThai became a profesional sport.
